📍“The presence is the power” said Anto Chioccarelli, our Creative Director of Outdoor, at the UK Creative Festival in Margate, Kent. Though Anto said this in the context of Outdoor, we think it’s a fitting way to describe our time at the two-day festival, of which we are a partner. 🖼️ Kicking the creativity off, we headed to the Turner Contemporary which was the perfect setting for our second ever Creative Town Hall. Our ‘Get Savvy’ session with Nils Leonard, Laura Jordan Bambach, and Graham Fink explored how creatives can use wit and craft to better-sell their work, themselves, and the broader value of creativity. As well as the panel, our speakers were interviewed by Global Academy students for a podcast currently in development. More on this soon! 🎡 Dreamland Margate was the destination for day two, with leads from Talent Acquisition, Commercial Marketing and Global Academy SLT setting up stall in the infamous Rollerdisco to meet with the future stars of creative industries. The careers fair was filled with networking opportunities and CV workshops, while 24 Global Academy students supported the event to gain work experience. We ended the festival with the aforementioned Anto Chioccarelli speaking on the 'The Anatomy of a Big Idea' panel alongside Shivani Arora, Pete Ioulianou and Sam Berry, chaired by Leah Brown FRSA. Standing *slightly* higher than a Smurf's standard three apples tall, our wrapped Routemaster buses have been chauffeuring Papa Smurf, Smurfette and friends around the streets of London. In fact, buses were rolled out just as the blue carpet was rolled out over in Brussels, with stars like Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Dan Levy, and James Corden attending the World Premiere.
