About us
HSBC Global Asset Management and Pollination have partnered with the ambition to create the world’s largest dedicated natural capital asset management company. Climate Asset Management intends to establish a series of natural capital funds, investing in a diverse range of activities that preserve, protect and enhance nature over the long-term, and address climate change. As the global economy shifts and the race to decarbonise assets, sectors and entire economies intensifies, there is growing demand for nature-based solutions to climate change that also diversify investment risk and offer attractive, long-term returns. The simple truth is understood: failing to invest in the resilience of nature means failing to invest in the resilience of the economy. Nature is now the most fertile investment we have. Climate Asset Management aims to offer investors a wide exposure to global natural capital themes in both emerging and developed markets. Investment themes will include: - Regenerative and sustainable agriculture - Sustainable forestry - Oceans, including sustainable fisheries, coastal restoration and blue carbon - Biodiversity and wildlife protection and restoration - Natural capital and real assets that generate carbon credits

“You don’t need to be a specialist to invest in nature.” That’s the message our CEO Martin Berg emphasized at the One Planet Sovereign Wealth Funds (OPSWF) Nature-Based Solutions Forum during London Climate Action Week. There are already well-established and scalable investment opportunities for institutional investors that can generate returns for investors, people, and the planet. Real asset investments, changing land-use management, and sustainable forestry, as well as regenerative agriculture, provide concrete and impactful ways to restore natural capital. At Climate Asset Management, we don't view investing in nature as a niche but as a necessary evolution of portfolio strategy, offering essential diversification within asset owners' portfolios in an increasingly volatile environment. From sustainable forestry and regenerative agriculture to nature-based solutions, we aim to deliver impactful investment solutions at scale for long-term institutional investors. This year’s OPSWF Mid-term meeting was a powerful reminder that natural capital is transitioning from the margins to the mainstream. We were honoured to join discussions with sovereign wealth funds such as the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Growthfund, the National Fund of Greece, and NZ Super Fund, which have already recognized the importance of natural capital in their investment strategies. A heartfelt thank you to QIA for hosting, to the OPSWF Secretariat, and to Lawrence Yanovitch and Carlos Quintas Gaitán for facilitating such an important forum for transformative investment strategies. And to all who are driving forward this crucial agenda. #LCAW2025 #CAMatLCAW2025 #NatureBasedSolutions #NaturalCapital #ClimateFinance #ImpactInvesting #OPSWF

As part of London Climate Action Week 2025, Climate Asset Management is participating in the Net Zero Delivery Summit 2025, hosted by the City of London Corporation in partnership with the Sustainable Markets Initiative. Our CEO, Martin Berg, will be joining a focused workshop on: Unlocking Carbon Markets: Strategies and solutions to accelerate the growth of voluntary carbon markets.
